In this dialog you can import or export settings or set them as default.

The tables are devided into 3 columns:

  • Name: contains the property name
  • Value: contains the property value
  • Value range: contains the available range of the value

Hint: The Colors section has got different column header names, which are explained in the detailed description.

Select a table entry to get a short description of the property below the table.

Parameter

Description

Window

Allows to define window settings:

  • More recent projects: Defines the maximum shown recent projects in the menu (0-9).
  • Maximum of open documents: Allows to define the maximum number of open documents in the main window (1-256).
  • Show menu: Enables/disables the menu with the symbols at the top of the Workbench Studio view.
  • Show tool bar: Enables/disables the Toolbar at the top of the Workbench Studio view.
  • Show status bar: Enables/disables the Status Bar at the bottom of the Workbench Studio view.
  • View layout: Opens the Select View Layout.

Character fonts

Allows to define font settings for:

  • Text font
  • Graphical font
  • Watch Font
  • Variables
  • Grid Font
  • Title Font

Editing

General usability settings for the Workbench Studio.

Find detailed information to the properties in the chapter Editing view.

Colors

Contains the color settings for:

  • Common
  • FBD
  • LD
  • ST/IL
  • SFC
  • FBD line style

Open the corresponding entry via a click on the arrow symbol to change colors. A double-click in the corresponding color opens the dialog for color definition. Select the desired color and click on OK.

The table in the Colors area has got the following column names:

  • Description: Shows, which content is affected from possible color changes.
  • Color: Shows the current color setting and allows to change this.
  • Additional settings: Allows to make specific changes, if available.

Diagrams

Usability settings for diagram an script editor.

Find detailed information to the properties in the chapter Diagrams view.

Prefixes

Allows to define prefixes for fast variable declaration.

If you use the prefixes in the variable name, the declaration dialog preselects the according data type.

Tooltips

Allows to activate a tooltip for the choosen property via the corresponding checkbox.

Extensions

Lists all additional file extensions that can be opened within the Workbench Studio.

Parameter

Description

Import

Imports options for the selected Option Group from an file. The settings will be replaced with the content of the import. Click on the Button opens the file selection dialog.

Export

Extracts an internal content. Click on the Button opens the file selection dialog.

Default

Reset of settings for the selected Option Group to the initial settings.

OK

Accepts all changes and closes the dialog.

Cancel

Closes the dialog without changes.
