Process
In Cyberguard, process management is crucial for maintaining system security and operational integrity. The system employs white-listing and black-listing techniques to control which processes and applications are allowed to run.
White-Listing
White-listing (or allow-listing) is a proactive security strategy that ensures only pre-approved processes, applications, or entities are permitted to execute or access specific resources. This approach is designed to prevent unauthorized or potentially harmful entities from running on the system.
Black-Listing
Black-listing (or deny-listing) is a reactive security approach where known or suspected malicious processes, applications, or entities are explicitly blocked. This method focuses on preventing identified threats from accessing the system.
