The Quick Client feature in the WP500 gateway provides a straightforward interface for monitoring and retrieving live data from connected devices via the OPC UA protocol. It enables real-time data access and visualization, allowing users to manage and oversee their systems effectively.

Accessing the Quick Client

  1. Go to the  OPC UA Clients > Quick Client  menu in the WP500 web interface.


  1. Upon entering the Quick Client, you will see a list of live devices currently connected to the system. This list provides an overview of all devices actively communicating with the WP500 gateway.


  1. Navigate through the node hierarchy to understand the structure and organization of the connected devices. This hierarchy allows you to identify and access specific nodes within the connected devices.


Fetching Live Data

Display Details: The Quick Client displays detailed information for the selected node, including:


 Field

 Description  

 Current Value

The current value of the selected node’s data.

 Quality

The quality of the data, indicating whether it is connected or disconnected. This is represented as 'Good' or 'Bad.'.

 Data Type

The type of data being retrieved (e.g., Integer, Float, String).

 Timestamp

The time when the data was last updated.

The Quick Client feature streamlines real-time monitoring, helping users gain insights into live operations and ensuring effective system management through direct interaction with connected devices.
