IED handling
The SCL Editor allows to add, remove and copy IEDs.
This can be done via the context menu entries:
- Delete: removes the entire IED
Hint: This command can be executed only if there are at least two IEDs in tree. It is not possible to remove all IEDs. - Duplicate IED: allows to duplicate the selected IED
Hint: This command uses recurse copy, so everything in the IED is duplicated using the same names. - Add New IED: allows to add a new IED in the tree. The name is set automatically.
Note: These commands cannot be used without a license. Two IEDs cannot have the same name. If an existing name is entered, an error dialog is displayed.
Logical nodes handling
Logical nodes can be copied and pasted in the same IED file via:
- the context menu entries Copy and Paste
- the Keyboard shortcuts for Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V)
- Ctrl and the Drag&Drop functionality
Additional the entries can be moved in the same IED file by:
- the context menu entries Cut and Paste
- the Keyboard shortcuts for Cut (Ctrl + X) and Paste (Ctrl + V)
- the Drag&Drop functionality
Private tags handling
Private tags can be edited, added and removed via an own dialog.
