The Target System Configuration dialog can be opened via:

  • the context menu entry Target System Configuration.... Click with the right mouse button on the desired project entry in the Workspace, to open the context menu.
  • a double-click on the depending Status bar entry e.g. Default.
    Hint: If no configuration is set, Default will be displayed. If there is no open project, nothing will be displayed.

The dialog contains the following tabs:

  • Select
  • Description
  • Data types
  • Standard
  • OEM

Select

Allows to select the Target system Configuration.

List of available configurations:

  • <Default>: Represents a Target system which supports all available functions.
  • Additional target system configurations: preinstalled, uploaded or imported configurations
  • ...

Visibility in the Engineering Tool:

Parameter

Description

Show supported functions and datatypes only

Defines the visibility of functions and datatypes in the engineering tool.

  • active: Only the supported functions and datatypes are shown.
  • inactive: All functions and datatypes are shown. Unsupported functions are highlighted.

Import

Opens the dialog to select a configuration, which should be imported from a folder. This function expects a *.CFG file as generated when uploading a configuration from a target.

Upload

Opens the Communication settings dialog. Via an online connection the configuration can be uploaded from a target Runtime Service.

Hint: It is not possible to overwrite the <Default> Target System Configuration.

Remove

Deletes the selected Target System Configuration entry from the list.

Description

Shows detailed information about the selected Target System Configuration according to the Select tab.

Data types

Shows all data types available on the selected target system.

Standard

Shows all standard blocks and functions available on the target system.

OEM

Shows all OEM specific blocks and functions available on the target system.

Navigation

Parameter

Description

OK

Confirmes the settings and closes the dialog.

Cancel

Closes the dialog without changes.

Help

Opens the corresponding Help topic.
