The Properties area of the dialog allows to define settings for the new program.

You can define settings in the following tabs too:

Hint: If a new program is created, this dialog opens. In the Advanced tab all settings are preconfigured and cannot be changed. To change this properties you need to open the Program properties dialog in the tree view via the context menu entry Properties... of the depending program. Now it is possible to change settings and the additional tab Security is available.

Language

Programming language for the current program. Selection from drop-down list:

  • SFC: Sequential Function Chart - Grid Editor
  • SFC: Sequential Function Chart - Free Form Editor
  • FBD: Function Block Diagram (CFC)
  • LD: Ladder Diagramm
  • ST: Structured Text
  • IL: Instruction List

Default: FDB: Function Block Diagram

Execution style

Main program

New program is created as main program.

Sub-program

New program is created as sub program.

UDFB (User defined Function Block)

New program is created as User Defined Function Block.

Child SFC program

Only possible to select, if a main SFC program exists in the project.

Child of

Allows to select the parent SFC program.

Navigation

Parameter

OK

Confirmes the settings and closes the dialog.

Cancel

Closes the dialog without changes.

Help

Opens the corresponding Help topic.
