Import Assistant

The Import Assistant makes it possible to import the selected content.

Go to the menu bar entry Tools and Import... to open the dialog.

Parameter	Description
Import project items (XML)	Allows to import project items.
Import PLCopen TC6 file (XML)	Allows to import a TC6 file in XML-format.
Import ST file	Allows to import a ST file.
Import project items from previous versions	Allows to import project items from previous versions.
Import common definitions	Allows to import common definitions.
Import library definitions	Allows to import library definitions.
Import OEM libraries	Allows to import OEM libraries.
Import Embedded HMI hardware definition	Allows to import Embedded HMI hardware definitons.

Import of external content

Hint: The necessary steps for the import depend on the content you want to import and may differ from the standard procedure, which is decribed here. If this occurs, follow the instructions in the Import Assistant.

Do the following steps to import:

Activate the option for the content you want to import.
Example: Activate Import project items if you want to import project items.
Continue by clicking the button Next.
A list of all projects in the Workspace will be displayed.
Select the project in which the imported content should be stored.
Note: Only one project can be selected.
Click the button Next to continue.
The dialog to search for the content to be imported will be opened.
Select the content which should be imported and confirm via a click on Open.
In case of our example, now the Import Assistant dialog Import project items (XML) is openend.
Define your settings and click on Next.
Click on Finish to complete the import.

Next	Opens the next view of the dialog.
Cancel	Discards all changes and closes the dialog.
