The Security Logs feature in the WP500 device provides insights into security-related events and activities. This section describes how to use the Security Logs interface to monitor system integrity and ensure security compliance.

Overview

The Security Logs tab displays a detailed log of security-related events such as file integrity checks, permission changes, and file modifications. Each log entry is timestamped and includes information about the type of event, the user involved, and a descriptive message.

Log Components

The logs are displayed in a tabular format with the following columns:

  1. Date and Time: The exact timestamp of the logged event.
  2. Log Type: Indicates the nature or classification of the log entry (e.g., INFO for informational messages).
  3. User: Identifies the user or system responsible for the event (e.g., system).
  4. Message: A detailed description of the security event (e.g., file additions, deletions, modifications, or permission changes).
