The vertical toolbar on the left side of the editor contains buttons for inserting items in the chart.

Items are always inserted before the selected item.

The chart is automatically rearranged when a new item is inserted.

Use the following keyboard commands when an item is selected:

  • ENTER: opens the editon window to edit the level 2 of a step or transition.
  • Ctrl+ENTER: change the number of a step, transition or jump.

Toolbar button

Description

Initial step (I)

Inserts a inital step.

Step (S)

Inserts a step.

Transition (T)

Inserts a transition.

Set Timer on Transition

Sets a timer on a transition.

Example: 5 on step number 4 leads to a transition with "GS4.T>T#5ms".

The window which is showing the content of the transition must be closed previously.

Jump (J)

Inserts a jump to a step.

Divergence (X)

Inserts the main (left side) corner of a divergence or convergence.

Divergence (D)

Inserts a divergence corner.

Convergence (C)

Inserts a convergence corner.

Insert Comment

Inserts a comment.

Change Display

Swaps between possible overviews of level 2 in the level 1 chart:

  • Show all
  • Show the code of actions and conditions.
  • Show notes attached to steps and transitions.

Swap Item Style

Allows to change the item style.

Changes:

  • a step to an initial step (and the reverse)
  • or an OR divergence/convergence to an AND divergence/convergence (and the reverse)

Renumber

Renumbers all steps and transitions.

The window showing the content of a step or a transition must be closed previously.

Edit Reference

Edits the number of a step, transition or jump.

The window showing the content of a step or a transition must be closed previously.

Show one qualifier in level 2

Shows only one level of the edition in the level 2 of the SFC Editor.

Example: Shows only the P1 of a step.

Show/Hide splitted window in level 2

Shows two levels of the edition in the level 2 of the SFC Editor.

Example: Show P1 and Notes of a step.

Show all qualifiers in level 2

Shows every level of the level 2 on the SFC Editor.

Edition window

Open the edition window via a click a click on ENTER, when an item is selected. The level 2 of a step or a transition can be edited in this window.

Hint: The different levels of editons in the level 2 of the SFC Editor can be selected via the buttons at the top of the edition window.

Shows/hides the P1 box in the SFC level 2.

Shows/hides the N box in the SFC level 2.

Shows/hides the P0 box in the SFC level 2.

Notes

Shows/hides the Notes box in the SFC level 2.

Close level 2

Closes the SFC level 2.
