Target System Configuration
The Workbench Studio can be used to configure various different OEM target systems. Therefore, it contains a universal collection of functions, function blocks and datatypes. In order to indicate for a specific target runtime during engineering, whether a function, function block or datatype is supported, the Target System Configuration can be set.
You can define all settings for the Target System Configuration in an own dialog.

Due to the chosen Target System Configuration and additional settings, unsupported functions and datatypes will be highlighted or hidden in the Workbench Studio.
Accordingly, unsupported features can be resolved in the application program:
- Unsupported functions are highlighted in the application program. Additional compile warnings are generated.
- Variables with unsupported datatypes are highlighted in the variable editor
