Data block |
Each data block is identified by a MODBUS base address and a number of items (bits or words). |
Base address |
Start address of the data block in the MODBUS table. Default: 1 |
Nb Item |
Amount of data in the data block. Depending on the selected function code type bits or words. Default: 1 |
Declare varibles |
Allows to declare variables for the data block following the address sceme of the function code Default: inactive |
Prefix |
% is the placeholder for digits. Example: V%%% = V000 Default: V% |
Datatype Dropdown menu |
Allows to select predefined Datatypes according to the setting in the MODBUS Request area. Default: BOOL |

Read and write requests sent by MODBUS masters will be denied if the range specified in the request does not fit within a data block defined in the configuration. Requests overlapping two data blocks will be denied. |
When a server data block is selected, use the Edit / New variable command to map a variable to an item of the data block.
