In this dialog you can define settings for your new program.

Area for language settings of the program

Parameter

Description

Language

Programming language for the current program. Selection from drop-down list:

SFC: Sequential Function Chart - Grid Editor
SFC: Sequential Function Chart - Free Form Editor
FBD: Function Block Diagram (CFC)
LD: Ladder Diagramm
ST: Structured Text
IL: Instruction List

Default: FDB: Function Block Diagram

Compiling Options

Parameter

Debug/Release

Option for compiling modes. Selection via option box:

Debug
Release

Default: Debug

Communication options

In this section the communication options of the 61131-3 are defined. These settings must correspond to the respective Runtime Service, for the Workbench Studio to be able to connect.

General communication settings. This configuration is represented as text item with the following syntax:

<ip-address>:<port-number>(<connection-timeout>)

Example:127.0.0.1:1200(10)
Direct input is possible. This configuration can also be parametrized with the help of an additional dialog.

Click on the ... button opens the Communication Settings dialog.

Default: localhost: 1200(10)

Protocol

Type of the used protocol for communication.

Selection from drop-down list:

Runtime Service
Remote Access Protocol
Multi-Runtime Service
Runtime Service over CAN

Default: Runtime Service

Other

Additional setting

Parameter

Description

Edit values with the Recipe editor

Insertion of a Receipe Editor item for setting of initial values.

Activation via checkbox:

active:
Recipe Editor item is automatically created during project creation.
inactive:
No Recipe Editor item is created.
