White-listing:

White-listing, also known as allow-listing, is a security approach where only approved processes, applications, or entities are permitted to operate or access certain resources.

Implementation: In the context of processes, a white-list approach involves creating a list of authorized processes or applications. Only those on the list are allowed to run or execute, and any other processes are automatically blocked or prevented from running.

Black-listing:

Black-listing, also known as deny-listing, is a security approach where known or suspected malicious processes, applications, or entities are explicitly blocked or denied access to certain resources.

Implementation: In the context of processes, a black-list approach involves creating a list of processes or applications that are considered dangerous or unauthorized. Any process on the black list is blocked, and all others are allowed to run by default.
