Accessing the Web Interface
To access the WP Connex web configuration, follow the steps below:
1. Open Web Browser:Launch your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
2. Enter Device IP Address: In the browser's address bar, type the IP address of the WP Connex device. This address is typically provided in the product documentation or can
be obtained from your network administrator.
3. Web Login Page: Upon entering the IP address, you will be directed to the WP Connex web login page.
4. Enter Username: In the designated field, enter the username that has been pre-configured for your specific user account. Refer to your configuration settings or contact your administrator if you are unsure about the username.
5. Enter Password: Input the password associated with your username. This password should have been configured during the initial setup or by the system administrator.
6. Enter Captcha: To enhance security, a Captcha verification is required. Enter the characters displayed in the Captcha image to confirm that you are a legitimate user.
7. Click "Login": Once you've entered the required information, click on the "Login" button to proceed.
8. Access Web Configuration:
Upon successful login, you will gain access to the WP Connex web configuration interface. Here, you can manage and customize various settings based on your user privileges.
Captcha Verification
Upon navigating to the login page, users will encounter a generated captcha.
Please enter the characters displayed in the captcha accurately to proceed.
This additional layer of security helps prevent unauthorized access.
Notice on Successful Login
After successfully entering the correct credentials and captcha, users will be directed to the device's dashboard.
A notice may be displayed, providing important information about the device status, warnings, or system notifications.
Token Generation and Validation
Token Generation
Upon successful login, a unique token is generated for the user session. This token serves as a secure identifier for subsequent interactions with the web interface.
Token Validation
The generated token is utilized to validate the user's identity across different pages within the web interface. This enhances security and ensures that only authenticated users can access and modify system configurations.
Token Expiry
For security reasons, the token will expire if the same user attempts to log in from another machine. This precaution prevents unauthorized access and ensures that user sessions are managed securely.
First-Time Login - Password Reset
Initial Login
If a user is logging in for the first time or if their password needs to be reset, they will be directed to the password reset page.
Setting a New Password
On the password reset page, users can set a new password following the specified guidelines. This initial setup ensures that the user has a secure and personalized login credential.
